Taryn Packheiser
Taryn has been a guest teacher at Vanderbilt University, The Pointe
Academy, Greensboro Ballet, High Point Ballet, Taylor Dance Academy,
Danza Abend, Universidad de Heredia, and Rocky Mountain Festivention.
She received her MFA in Choreography and Performance from the University
of Colorado at Boulder and her BFA in Contemporary Dance from the North
Carolina School of the Arts. Her dances have been performed in Iowa,
Colorado, North Carolina, Tennessee, California, New York City, and
Costa Rica. She has independently produced several commissioned sound
collages/scores for contemporary choreographers and dance films. Her
"dances for the camera" have appeared at the Sans Souci Film
Festival and the Boulder International Fringe Festival. Taryn has performed
in major works by Gabriel Masson, Joe Goode, Bebe Miller, David Parsons
and Paul Taylor. She has danced professionally with Hurley & Dancers,
Co-motion Dance Theater, 3rd Law Dance Theatre, 2B Dance Tribe, Nich-Walk
Dance Project, Urban Impact, Elinor Coleman Dance Ensemble, Montage
Showcase Ensemble, and the Greensboro Ballet.
