Karla Kash
Karla Kash is thrilled to be joining the talented faculty of ISU theatre
for her second year where she will be teaching acting, stage combat
and theatre history. Last year she directed The Pavilion and choreographed
the SOV musical My Fair Lady. She also, directed the musical Johnny
Guitar for StageWest Theatre Company. Karla has acted, directed, choreographed
and fight choreographed in NYC, San Diego, Boston, Ohio, New Hampshire
and now Iowa. Some of Karla's favorite credits are; playing Lady Capulet
in Romeo and Juliet and fight choreographing the production at American
Theatre of Actor's in NYC, choreographing and directing A Midsummer
Night's Dream and 'World Goes Round at The Creative and Performing Arts
Academy in San Diego, playing Martha in A Piece of My Heart at the Metropolitan
Playhouse in NYC. This winter she will be playing Josie in A Moon for
the Misbegotten at North Coast Repertory Theatre along with her mentor
Jonathan McMurtry. Karla is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association
and The Society of American Fight Director's. Karla has an MFA in acting
from Brandeis University and a BFA in acting from Wright State University.
