Adam Heffernan
Adam Heffernan teaches Acting at ISU and directs the department's classical plays. He received his MFA from The University of Tennessee - Knoxville, his BA from The University of New Hampshire - Durham, and apprenticed at Actors Theatre of Louisville. Favorite acting credits include Iago in OTHELLO (Theater at Monmouth), Nathan Detroit in GUYS & DOLLS (Clarence Brown Theatre), ALLSTON (Nosedive Productions), the world premiere of Thornton Wilder's YOUTH (Actors Theatre of Louisville), Simon in HAY FEVER (Highlands Playhouse), and Benedick in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (Tennessee Stage). Recent directing credits include: THE REAL THING, RECKLESS and THE WIZARD OF OZ at Highlands Playhouse, VOICES FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL, LOVE LETTERS, and NICK THE BEARD at Instant Theatre Company. Film and television appearances include: ONE TREE HILL (CW/WB), SURFACE (NBC), THE WORK & THE GLORY 2 (Vineyard), ED'S STORY (Independent), and a year and a half on ALL MY CHILDREN (ABC). He has served as artistic director for Highlands Playhouse and The Instant Theatre Company, and is a member of Actor's Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild, and American Federation of Radio & Television Artists.
