The Marriage of Figaro
by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
November 2-5, 2006
Fisher Theater
Join ISU Theatre and ISU Music as we celebrate the 250th birthday
of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart by producing one of his most beloved works,
banned in Vienna where it was first performed in 1786 due to its mockery
of the upper classes. Figaro learns on the eve of his marriage to
a chambermaid that his employer, Count Almaviva, plans to evoke an
old feudal privilege and spend the night with Figaro's intended bride.
Mozart's melodies sparkle with sheer perfection.
