Barjche is the annual dance production at Iowa State
University.
Since its inception in 1944, Barjche has continued to present many
genres of dance in one evening. Although the show focuses of Contemporary
Dance and current trends in choreography, audience members will be
delighted in the evenings cultural, artistic, and stylized dance differences.
Barjche 2007 promises something for everyone who enjoys live performance.
This year will include original choreography from New York City based
artist Ivy Baldwin and of one India's bharatnatyum specialists Suparna
Banjeree. Barjche 2007 will explore choreography for film by featuring
experimental dances made for the camera.
Artists interested in collaborating with choreographers in any way
(costume designers, film makers, composers, visual artists, etc) should
